A beautiful and ethical created sapphire engagement ring set, hand carved by me, then cast into recycled sterling silver. A gorgeous 7mm blue Chatham sapphire is bezel set in the center and the rings are oxidized to show the details, then given a shiny high polish. The matching wedding band fits up against the gemstone ring very nicely.
This is the perfect alternative engagement ring for the non-diamond gal. This is a unique ring and since it was made with my own two hands there aren't any others like it in the world.
My inspiration for carving this ring came from the wrought ironwork I see on my walks through the city.
What is a lab created sapphire? They are created in a lab from corundum, the exact same material as earth-made sapphires except these are created in a lab in the USA. It makes for an eco friendly alternative and ethical choice!
"Blue sapphire is the most difficult gem crystal that Chatham grows. Color in sapphire often follows the crystal structure in color zones. Even the best sapphire crystal has different shades of blue in it. When we cut the sapphire crystals, we cut away 80% of the rough to give you faceted sapphires that are cleaner and brighter than the finest mined sapphires. My now fiancee absolutely loves this ring; it has an unmistakable presence and beauty.
