A sweet, petite moissanite engagement ring set featuring a stunning 5mm round moissanite.
This beautiful and meaningful wheat braided ring engagement set is handmade in my NYC studio. I hand carved this bezel and had it cast into recycled 14k yellow gold. Then I soldered it to my wheat braid wedding band for a simple yet stunning engagement ring. The bands are 2mm wide. I set a 5mm cushion cut forever brilliant moissanite gemstone, even more sparkly than a diamond, into it and gave it a bright polish to finish it up.
This is a unique, artisan made ring and nothing about it is mass-produced. I love creating work that has deep meaning. My Wheat rings symbolize hearth and home, affection, love and prosperity. A great way to start off a significant relationship and I wish this in my heart for you. Moissanite is a lab created gemstone that is completely conflict-free and a great alternative to diamonds. Moissanite is near colorless, it is rated a 9.25 out of 10 on the MOHS scale of hardness and it is more brilliant than a diamond which means you can see the sparkle from across the room.
It reminds me of wheat and the story of The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint Exupery. Specifically the part about taming the fox. When the fox meets the Prince they are strangers, and the fox asks the Little Prince to tame him. He says, "The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad. But you have hair that is the color of gold.
