September Birthstone Ring, Sapphire Braided Wheat Ring
This beautiful blue sapphire ring is cast into recycled sterling silver as a simple wheat ring that has a braided pattern. It's totally unique and handcrafted in our NYC studio. I bezel set a 5mm imitation sapphire in this perfectly sweet ring, oxidize it to bring out the details and give it a soft polish. The result is unique and modern with a vintage feel.
Sapphire is the September birthstone and given for the 5th, 23rd and 45th wedding anniversary. Sapphires symbolize sincerity and faithfulness. They are believed to help with confidence and offer healing properties for rheumatism and colic.
This ring is available in sizes 5-8 and comes in a gift box similar to the last photo. It takes me about 4-5 weeks to make by hand. Please select your ring size from the drop down menu. Not sure of your ring size?

This is one of my favorite rings for it's simplicity and special meaning. It reminds me of wheat and the story of The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint Exupery. Specifically the part about taming the fox. When the fox meets the Prince they are strangers, and the fox asks the Little Prince to tame him.
He says, "The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad. But you have hair that is the color of gold. Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me! The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back to the thought of you. And I shall love to listen to the wheat in the wind.” "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." -Antoine de Saint Exupery
