As you know, my designs always have meaning behind them or are inspired by something in my life.
So when Silpada approached me about creating two collections for them, I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to get started on pieces that not only spoke to me and my customer, but also reflected the bold Silpada aesthetic.
The two collections I designed are the Sunburst Collection and the Seashell Collection. They evoke a sense of Summer and that feeling you get when it’s deliciously sunny outside and you're enjoying some beach time.
The Seashell Collection is inspired by the seashells and the teal blue water that you find at the beach. I want to hold onto that feeling of calm I get as I listen to the ocean waves and with this collection I can be reminded of that feeling all year round. It features a modern, tiny silver turbo or nautilus shell and is accented with Larimar, a rare stone of serenity, communication and relaxation. The collection represents peace, calm and bliss.
The Sunburst Collection is inspired by the power of the sun, like a burst of sunlight that can power through clouds on a rainy day. The silver is sculpted with a textured finish to represent the rays of the sun and is complimented by the golden light of the Sunstone. Sunstones are a stone of abundance, independence and leadership. The collection represents joy, warmth and strength.
