It's time to layer up!

I personally love layering my necklaces. Currently I'm wearing my S monogrammed necklace and from the new Sunburst Collection for Silpada Designs, the Shield of Armona.

There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to layering your necklaces, but here are some tips and ideas to try out:

Tip 1
Try a few different length chains. We have been offering adjustable chain lengths for a while now, so you get the option to choose from a 16," 17", 18" chain or 20", 21", 22" chain.

So, when you're considering your next necklace, keep in mind that you have an option to wear it at one of three different lengths.

Tip 2
Mix your metals! Give a little bit of definition and texture to your choice by mixing metals, or by mixing the finish of the metals. For example, I wear the wrought infinity necklace in 14k rose gold with my Monogrammed necklace which has a satin finish and is oxidized. Here I'm deciding if I should add the Sunburst So Sirius necklace. What do you think?

Tip 3
Add in a gemstone or two like we've done here with necklaces from the Sunburst collection. There's nothing better to give a little bit of pizazz to your outfit than adding a gemstone necklace-- or two-- or three.

Tip 4
This is the most important one... HAVE FUN! Layering is all about mixing and matching (or not) and trying out a few things to see what you like. And don't stop there! It's not just about layering necklaces, you can layer bracelets and stack rings too!
