Blue Topaz Meaning and Healing Properties

Blue topaz is the birthstone of December. it is a talisman for the sign of Sagittarius and the suggested anniversary gemstone for the 4th, 19th or 23rd year of marriage.

Blue Topaz, or specifically the color blue, is associated with the throat chakra. The throat chakra is the voice of the body. It’s the passageway of energy from your head to the other chakras so if it’s out of balance or blocked it can affect your other chakras. This has been an area that I've struggled with in my life and unblocking it has done wonders for me!

When our throat chakra is in balance we can express what we think and what we feel. We can communicate our ideas, beliefs, and emotions. We have an easy flow of energy within the body and spirit and we can speak our personal truth out into the world.

When the throat chakra is out of balance the physical symptoms may include sore throats, tight jaws, stiff neck, and headaches. When it is out of balance spiritually you might find yourself habitually lying, feeling fear and doubt about the intentions of others, or find yourself stammering or at a loss for words.

Wearing blue topaz in a necklace or earrings can be a talisman for your throat chakra. When I have to make a presentation or a video or do a demonstration-- in fact anytime I need to use my voice to express myself I put on some lavender essential oil and one of my blue topaz pieces. I've been able to transition from someone who got so nervous I would shake to someone who is confident, calm and well spoken. Give it a try!

Here at Metalicious we love the London Blue Topaz, mostly because my assistant Joanne is from London, and each time she sees the stone pop up in an order it reminds her of home! :-)
